Woods Cross and Bountiful border North Salt Lake directly. West Bountiful sits north of Woods Cross and Centerville lies north of Bountiful, so these are a short drive along I-15 or Main Street. Addresses outside these towns may also be reachable, and the dispatcher will confirm before anyone is sent.
North Salt Lake sewer service comes from the South Davis Sewer District, 801-295-3469, and each town page names the provider that applies there. Water comes from each city’s own system, so a city water main emergency goes to that city’s public works office, not to us. For North Salt Lake the after-hours water number is 801-560-3718.
How to tell which page fits your address
Start with the town on your mailing address, then check the notes on that page. ZIP codes in this corridor do not always follow city lines. ZIP 84087, for example, is shared by Woods Cross and West Bountiful, so a street address tells us more than a ZIP does. If you are unsure, the dispatcher will look up the address while you are on the phone.
What changes from town to town
Water and sewer providers differ, and so do permit offices. Woods Cross draws its drinking water from city wells. Bountiful publishes a water quality report that describes its supply as relatively hard, which matters for water heaters and fixtures.
Housing age also varies: North Salt Lake has a mix of homes from the 1910 to 1960 era and the Foxboro area built between 2000 and 2010, and the older pipe in the first group is a common reason for repeat clogs and leaks.
For that reason we do not use one script for every town. The plumber who comes to your door will have the local permit office and the provider for your street in mind, and will tell you who to call if the problem sits in a public line.
What to have ready when you call
- Your street address and the nearest cross street.
- Which fixtures are affected and whether water is still running.
- Whether you have shut off the main valve or the water heater supply.
- A gate or access note if the meter or cleanout is hard to reach.
Why local knowledge matters on a plumbing call
Three things set one address apart from another in south Davis County: how old the house is, how hard the water runs and which agency holds the permit. A home near the foothills can have a different pipe history than one near the I-15 corridor, and a basement fixture below the main sewer line behaves differently from one on the main floor. The plumber who arrives should already know which of these applies to your street.
That is the reason each town page lists its own housing era, its water source and its city hall address, rather than repeating one general description.
Business and rental properties
Property managers and small business owners can use the same line. Describe the building, who has access and whether tenants are affected, and the dispatcher will note it for the plumber. Our commercial plumbing page explains how after-hours calls and scheduled work are handled.
